“A quick tip (“quip”?) for qualitative researchers — how can we most easily build rapport at the beginning of sessions?”
When you’re out in the field doing research, you often need to build rapport really quickly. Omid’s tip is to find something you both have in common, and to build from there. Is it basketball? Pizza? Summer? I know you can always build immediate rapport with me if you talk about how great dogs are (just saying).
