Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum Logo

Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum

Launched: Summer 2020

Client: Trees Atlanta

Sector: Nonprofit

Scope of Work: Brand Design

Arboretum (n): A botanical garden focused on trees, which are grown for research, education, and display.

The BeltLine Arboretum has existed as long as the BeltLine has – originally, the icon was the BeltLine logo at the top of a tree trunk, which is fine and gets the point across (BeltLine + trees), but after 20 years, it was time for an update. I worked with Trees Atlanta to develop a mark that represents the joint partnership between the two organizations. This mark carefully uses the tree and leaf shapes from the Trees Atlanta logo, simplifies them a bit, and wraps them in a loop to echo the tapestry of colors in the Atlanta BeltLine logo.
