How does it work?
STEP 1
Every Monday, let us know how you’re doing.
You’ve got from about 8AM EST until about 8PM EST to get your submission in.
Don’t overthink it! You can write something simple or something complicated.
STEP 2
After everyone has submitted for the day, you’ll receive an email with the week’s Digest.
One email with a quick update from everyone. Easy to keep up with and easy to refer back to.
See some real Digests!
WHAT ELSE?
The Digest was made with you in mind.
We won’t track you, sell your information, or be gross*. This is for you and your friends only, wherever they are. There’s no app to download, no push notifications, and no dark patterns to make you waste time on the site.
See your past updates,
like a simple journal
Invite friends to join you so you can keep up with them
See which weekly Digests you’ve submitted to and read past issues
* Not even if someone offers us a bajillion million dollars

It’s like a… network… for your social circle.
The Digest is live!
Frequently Asked Questions
-
You’ll be able to see every Digest you’ve ever submitted by visiting your profile page – so it’s kind of like a semi-personal journal as well.
-
You’ll be able to generate an invite link that you can share in your group text, email threads, or on social media. Once people click the link and sign up, it’ll show as a friend request for you to approve.
-
We keep it simple – you have a 1:1 relationship with each person you share Digests with. You write one update that’s shared with all of the individuals you have chosen to keep up with, and the update they share will go to you and their network.
-
We keep it open-ended: “how are things going?” You decide what you want to share with your network.
-
The Digest is text only – editing and uploading images can be stressful, and we have the tendency to show a different side of ourselves. With text, you can take your time and craft your update.
-
Only the people you’ve explicitly approved can see your Digest. We also make it difficult to copy content out of the platform to add an additional layer of privacy.
-
Who wants to download a new app these days? (I don’t.) Who wants to feel like they’re being tracked? (not me!) The Digest is browser-based, so you can access it via the same link on your desktop or pocket computer. Bookmark it, or just click on the link you receive in your email. Easy and saves space.

We do ask you to give it an honest shot – the Digest works best when you're connected to a few friends, otherwise you just see your own updates. If you connect with some friends and submit a few times and still think it's a dumb idea, reach out to hello (at) sarahclawrence.com and I will get your money back to you.
The Soapbox, aka, My friend invited me and I don’t know what this is but I am certainly interested
The app will email you once a week when the Digest is open (Monday mornings)
That's it. No repeated emails, no push notifications, no reminders, no nada. I'm trusting you to remember and complete it, because it takes like 2 minutes. The app won't scold you if you miss your submission, if the window is closing, if you're not active enough. If you miss it, just do it next week, but the routine is nice. Pro tip: Set a calendar reminder on Mondays
The Digest is made with privacy first.
You can't search on the platform to see who else is on it. You can't upload your contact information and choose from a list. The Digest won't put random ass people in your feed and make you follow people you don't know or want to see.
As the admin and creator, even I can't see what you write or who you're connected to. I can see that you're active or inactive, or that's it.
However this works if you invite your friends.
It doesn't really work if you're only connected to like 2 people. That is why social media apps fill your feed with randos. Head to this page, copy your invite link, and text/email/DM it to anyone you'd like to connect with.
If they're already on The Digest, it'll act as a friend request that you can confirm (so, you can post your link and still decide who to share with)
If they're not yet, they'll see the option to sign up
If you're like "I don't want my friends to pay $6 for something I don't even know if I like yet," tell them the code digest2025 and they can sign up for free. I'd rather you and your friends be on it than me make $6).
But you know, since there's no ads and no other monetization, $6 means a lot to a tiny creator like me. Plus, if this tallies up enough, I can add additional features like submitting via SMS, or streaks, or things that make this feel more alive.
Similarly, even if you don't want to share your direct invite link, posting about The Digest on IG/Reddit/Twitter whatever also really means a lot and goes a long way.
And, there will never be ads, I wouldn't sell your data even if I knew how. Think of this as your space or breath of fresh air on the internet.
